The City of Arlington has contracted with Market Street Services, a national economic and workforce consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, to develop an Economic Development Study and subsequent recommendations to develop a consensus vision for Arlington’s future growth, and an action plan to achieve it. This plan will help Arlington maintain its position as a recognized leader of creative and effective economic development policies and practices. Furthermore, the processes required to see the Economic Development Study to fruition will build the capacity and cooperation necessary to maintain and further develop a vision for the City of Arlington.

Market Street has outlined a strategic process for the City of Arlington that will succeed in uniting all municipal stakeholders in understanding current challenges at hand, and then developing a cohesive plan to overcome them. At the end of the visioning period, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce will have a roadmap guiding local communities towards a visionary future together.
